At Smith Horsemanship, we believe that potential shouldn't be limited by circumstances.
The True Grit Scholarship Program is our way of opening doors for aspiring horsemen and women who show true commitment, passion, and perseverance — regardless of financial status.
This program provides limited support to applicants who either:
• Demonstrate outstanding potential in horsemanship or leadership (merit-based)
• Require financial assistance to attend the academy (need-based)
Who Can Apply?

Ages 16 - 26

Must be applying for the full-year academy or selected training programs

Must show clear motivation and commitment to growth

Must be willing to help promote or contribute to the Smith Horsemanship community (volunteering, media, etc.)
What It Covers?
Depending on available funding, this may include:
Partial tuition support
Reduced accommodation or livery fees
Mentorship and additional support
