I’ve always been drawn to that connection.  Most of what I know, I learned from the horses themselves. Every horse has their own personality, calm, dramatic, or spicy like a jalapeño with hooves. They taught me patience, timing, and how to slow down so they can meet me where I am. Endurance riding showed me real partnership and grit, while jumping taught me trust, quick thinking, and staying balanced when things get Chaotic. When I work with horses, I like to keep things simple and honest. I pay attention to who the horse is, what scares them, what builds them up, what makes them relax. I focus on confidence first, whether on the ground or in the saddle. No forcing. No big attitude. Just steady communication and a bit of courage. My goal as a rider and trainer is clear: to build confident, willing horses and become someone they can rely on.
